Scanning

We have in-house scanning capability for black and white and grayscale images up to 36" wide, We also use flatbed scanners for multi-page document scanning and small color jobs up to 11" x 17". For large color scanning, we sub-contract with outside firms.
		The original of this geologic cross-section is 30" wide.
Here is an example of the scanned detail from that cross-section, as saved in a compressed TIF format.

Depending on client's intended uses, and their file size limitations, we save image as either TIFs, JPGs, or GIFs. We can convert to many other formats, but these three are the most popular.
