Digitizing

When we need to convert drawings to vector form, we commonly scan paper copies and then digitize them on-screen through AutoCad. We have long ago abandoned the old digitizing tables in favor of this method because it is substantially faster and more accurate.

This is part of a topographic map we digitized for a small exploration project. For larger projects, we generally recommend purchasing topographic data in electronic form.
