Fixing scale problems when printing
from
Adobe Acrobat® and Adobe Acrobat Reader®
We provide many clients with pdf files so they
can check them and print them through Adobe Acrobat® or Adobe
Acrobat Reader®.
Unfortunately, the first time they print, they
find the scale of their drawings are always off.

This is a default feature of both Acrobat and Acrobat
Reader. It insures that pages, no matter how large, will always
fit on paper loaded into user's' printers.
Here is how you can get your drawings to print
to true scale.
Start your printing just as you normally would.
A print dialog box will appear and will look like something like
this.

On the left side of the box is an area labeled
"Page Handling."
By default, "Page Scaling" is set to
"Shrink large pages."
Click on the drop-down box, and choose "None."

That will eliminate any scaling and your drawings
will print true-to-scale.
